City Meetings
The next meeting of the City Council will be a work meeting on Thursday, May 12 at 5:30 pm.
Council District Town Meeting - Districts 3 and 5
Join Council Members Pat Pignanelli (District 3) and Mark Stewart (District 5) on Wed. May 11 at 6:30 pm in the Little Cottonwood Room. They will be providing an update on issues affecting the City and your area. You will also be able to ask any questions you may have.
Learn to Live Series - May 12
The focus for the May Learn to Live series for May will be - Learning to Prepare for an Emergency.
Thursday, May 12 - Holladay Library (2150 E Murray Holladay Rd)
Noon - 1:00 pm - Emergency Preparedness for Seniors
7:00-8:00 pm - Emergency Preparedness for Families
Dumpsters- May 14
Behind City Hall from 8:00 am -4:00 pm.
This year dumpsters will be located in the Holladay City Hall parking lot, directly behind City Hall from 8:00 am -4:00 pm. Please enter on the North side of City Hall and exit on the south side. Acceptable waste includes: yard clippings, tree limbs/branches, building materials, metals, tires, furniture, T.V’s and appliances. NOT accepted: hazardous waste (paint, motor oil, etc) and other household chemicals and refrigerators/freezers. Please direct any questions to Tosh Kano at 801-244-6103.
Playground Closure - May 14
The playground behind City Hall will be CLOSED on Saturday, May 14 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to accommodate the city clean up. We are concerned for the safety of the children and parents due to the number of cars and big trucks we will have driving back and forth behind city hall.
Household Hazardous Waste Day - May 19
Bring your Household hazardous waste to the lot south of City Hall on Thursday, May 19 from 7:00-10:00 am ONLY!
Household hazardous waste is anything in and around your home that is poisonous, flammable, corrosive or toxic. These include cleaning supplies, yard chemicals, pesticides, paints, fuels, batteries, oil, and antifreeze. You may also bring your electronic waste (computers, tv’s, etc.)
Vegetation Management Work
Rocky Mountain Power will begin scheduled vegetation maintenance in Holladay in early May, in the general area between Holladay Boulevard to I-215, and 4500 South to 6200 South. This work is expected to continue through August. The utility prunes trees near power lines to ensure safety and electric service reliability for customers. Customers will receive advance notification of one to six weeks if work is necessary on their property. Click here for information from Rocky Mountain Power on tree pruning
